Sau thời gian dài giữ kín, ban tổ chức giải cũng đã tiết lộ danh tính đội bóng thứ 12 (cuối cùng) ở nội dung chuyên nghiệp nam VBA 3×3 (VBA 3×3 Men Pro) là MERON AKO Philippines 3×3. Đội bóng khách mời này được đánh giá khá cao nhờ sở hữu nhiều tay ném dày dạn kinh nghiệm quốc tế của Philippines – quốc gia có nền bóng rổ số 1 Đông Nam Á.

Mới đây, MERON AKO đã vào đến tứ kết Siêu cúp Thái Lan (Basketball 3×3 Thai Super League) – giải bóng rổ 3×3 quốc tế được FIBA (Liên đoàn Bóng rổ quốc tế) xếp hạng cao nhất tại xứ Chùa Vàng.
Nếu như chặng 1 và chặng 2 của VBA 3×3 Men Pro được đăng ký ở cấp độ 3 (Green) trong hệ thống các cấp độ giải đấu FIBA 3×3 thì chặng cuối Grand Final, VBA 3×3 Men Pro sẽ là giải đấu cấp độ 6 (Lite Quest final, ký hiệu Purple), tăng 3 bậc so với hai chặng trước đó.
Vì vậy, điểm cá nhân VĐV ghi được sẽ nhiều hơn 3 lần so với haichặng trước thuộc cấp độ Green. Điều này tạo thuận lợi cho bóng rổ Việt Nam tăng vị trí trên bảng xếp hạng của FIBA 3×3.
Đây cũng là vòng đấu có cấp độ chuyên môn cao nhất được tổ chức tại Việt Nam cho đến thời điểm hiện tại.

Đặc biệt, đội vô địch VBA 3×3 Men Pro tại Grand Final sẽ được VBA tài trợ toàn bộ chi phí tham dự giải Challenger – giải đấu quốc tế của FIBA dành cho các đội chuyên nghiệp.
Cũng diễn ra vào ngày 31-3, song song với VBA 3×3 Men Pro là nội dung dành cho các VĐV lứa U20 (VBA 3×3 Men U20) với 16 đội bóng từ VBA, các đội khách mời và một số đại diện từ các trường đại học, học viện.
